Wonen Zuid - 't Schip
't Schip building future-proof by integration with Sqippa
In apartment complex 't Schip in Kerkrade, as many as 71 HBI emergency lighting fixtures communicate wirelessly with Sqippa via LoRa sensors. This use-case shows that Sqippa puts sustainable management into practice simply and successfully.
Building owner Wonen Zuid chooses Sqippa
Wonen Zuid - owner of apartment complex 't Schip - was looking for a sustainable way of building management through IoT. René Nicolaije, Technical Manager Planned Maintenance at Wonen Zuid, says they had several challenges with this project.
"The challenge with this project was cost savings and sustainability on the one hand, but also making the building future-proof."
Sustainable management through a single platform was the solution. After thorough research and close cooperation within the Sqippa community, Wonen Zuid (also Sqippa partner) chose Sqippa. Sqippa is an IoT platform that communicates wirelessly with sensors and devices in a building.
Sqippa deploys IoT technologies to serve people and the environment. This makes Sqippa a leading result of sustainability through innovation. It unburdens building owners, makes management more efficient, results in significant cost savings and reduces CO2 emissions.
Benefits for manufacturer, building manager & building owner
Without on-site inspection, Sqippa collects detailed information about devices via the LoRa network. On-site inspections are only a snapshot. Information via Sqippa is continuous; inspection via Sqippa leads to cost savings and increased safety and comfort.
With the information the manufacturer gets back from a device, it can improve the product and provide a longer warranty. This contributes to the sustainability of the product.
The building manager can improve services with the detailed information. Maintenance and replacement times are indicated and faults are reported . This allows timely action, saving costs and increasing comfort and safety in a building.
The building owner receives all information in one platform: a complete overview and control of the building's performance. This leads to improved efficiency and significant cost savings.
