Wonen Zuid again chooses emergency lighting fixtures from emergency lighting manufacturer HBI. This time in the Bellevue housing complex in Valkenburg, Limburg. The emergency lighting in this complex was outdated. Both the lamps and the luminaires needed replacing.
Innovative corporation chooses Sqippa
Wonen Zuid is an innovative housing corporation. Replacing installations is a good time for the corporation to take a step forward by opting for sustainable solutions.
Last year, Wonen Zuid replaced the emergency lighting fixtures in Project 't Schip with the emergency lighting fixtures from HBI. These fit in well with Wonen Zuid's objectives. Objectives that also apply to the replacement task in housing complex Bellevue:
cost savings;
improving manageability and control, and thus safety;
introducing future-oriented solutions.
It was soon clear to Wonen Zuid that remote management of the new emergency lighting should be possible via the IoT platform Sqippa.
So Guido Consten, owner of Electro Consten, invited emergency lighting manufacturer HBI to take stock of the building. HBI supplies high-quality lighting fixtures equipped with LoRa sensors, among other things.
Remote management via IoT platform Sqippa is easy to expand
Guido Consten is enthusiastic about managing the emergency lighting remotely via Sqippa.
"From our own office, we log into Sqippa Online. Fixtures test themselves and we can see the results in this platform. If necessary, we can also perform a test or reset from the online environment."
Remote management saves costs through reduced energy consumption and more efficient maintenance. And the gain is also in safety, adds Guido Consten. With remote management, problems with emergency lighting can be identified and resolved much faster.
Another big advantage of Sqippa and LoRa is the ability to remotely manage other facilities in buildings as well.
