Sqippa gets more and more intelligent, meet FourIQ
FourIQ increases the IQ of buildings. This cloud services provider is therefore an interesting new partner for Sqippa.
Smart buildings, better performance
FourIQ is a dynamic IT service provider of cloud services for electrical installations in buildings. This revolves around safety, comfort, hospitality and sustainability.
The company strives for the best situation on these points. The result is an optimal indoor climate at the lowest possible energy costs. It does this by using data intelligently and converting it into actions and operations.
Sqippa is getting more intelligent
Through installation company Le Jeune, Timo Vernooij, owner of FourIQ, heard about Sqippa. Le Jeune has been a Sqippa partner for some time. Sqippa and FourIQ saw that as partners, they too could make the Sqippa-online management platform even more valuable.
"Sqippa allows you to collect real-time data quickly and without limitation for smart building management. Sqippa is therefore very interesting for us. We see a lot of opportunities to add even more intelligence to Sqippa."
According to Timo, Sqippa and FourIQ can complement each other well in several areas.
Turning data into insight. And turning insight into action and actions
The insight that data provides is important. But the real added value of data is in using it. To draw conclusions, make protocols, make predictions. That ultimately leads to the right control and action.
Getting the information or message right, tailored precisely to the user
The information in Sqippa is not equally relevant to everyone. A building owner wants to receive different information than an installer. A building owner wants to know that something has been done. An installer wants to know that something needs to be done. Customisation makes even better use of Sqippa.
Adding information from sources other than sensors to Sqippa
The information in Sqippa comes mainly from sensors in installations. But Sqippa can also be fed with information from other sources. Think calendar of school holidays, meeting schedules and more. This kind of information makes building management even more efficient.
Complementing each other in the Sqippa community
According to Timo, the Sqippa foundation is so strong that it can be further developed. But that requires knowledge from all kinds of sectors. That is why the Sqippa community is so important, according to Timo.
"To grow Sqippa, we provide intelligence. But to do that, we need other experts. For example, in the field of sensors. Complementary knowledge and information, that's the strength of the community."
Acceptance and transformation make the future of Sqippa
Sqippa and smart building management is a change. It reminds Timo of the early years of IT.
"Change takes time. The future of Sqippa depends not only on technology, but also on users. They need to move from traditional to smart thinking."
To properly convey Sqippa's almost limitless possibilities to users, Timo says two things are very important:
Excellent knowledge about Sqippa's operation and added value among Sqippa's 'ambassadors'. These are often the busy installers, for whom the transformation comes on top of regular work.
Users who are open to a different way of thinking and have different knowledge. With Sqippa, ICT plays a bigger role in building management. And that takes some getting used to in a relatively traditional field.
A traditional building consists of 90% bricks and glass and 10% technology. In new buildings, the ratio is about 60% - 40%. And in the future, more than half of construction costs will be in engineering. So it is increasingly important to have knowledge of that. Sqippa is ready for transformation. But in the end, it is the users who determine success.
